Le installazioni sonore sono state allestite con la collaborazione delle studentesse e studenti dell’Accademia di Belle Arti: Serenella Bozhanaj (Comunicazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio artistico contemporaneo), Chiara Faustini (Media art), Alessandra Flora (Linguaggi dell’audiovisivo), Deshavinda Sandameth Wellawatte (Media art)

Itinera è un’installazione che indaga i paesaggi sonori come espressione culturale, scegliendo luoghi distinti per la loro identità acustica. Tra questi: il mercato del pesce di Molfetta, con le voci dei venditori; i suoni solenni del Cimitero Monumentale di Milano; la potenza del suono artificiale della cava di Carrara; il contrasto sonoro di Venezia, segnato dall’impatto del turismo; la maestosa forza dell’Etna con le sue eruzioni. L’opera si sviluppa lungo le scalinate, guidando l’ascoltatore in un percorso di scoperta e salvaguardia dei paesaggi sonori registrati. I testi si intrecciano a questi paesaggi, orientando e al tempo stesso aprendo l’ascolto, per accompagnare ciascuno verso proprie visioni e interpretazioni

Itinera is an installation that investigates soundscapes as cultural expression, selecting places distinguished by their acoustic identity. These include the fish market of Molfetta, with the voices of its vendors; the solemn sounds of the Monumental Cemetery in Milan; the power of the artificial sound of the Carrara quarry; the sonic contrast of Venice, marked by the impact of tourism; and the majestic force of Mount Etna with its eruptions.

The work unfolds along the stairways, guiding the listener on a path of discovery and preservation of the recorded soundscapes. The texts intertwine with these landscapes, both orienting and opening the act of listening, accompanying each listener toward their own visions and interpretations.
